NATO and Ukraine are strengthening their alliance, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg discussing a 100-billion-euro defence fund over 5 years. Some NATO countries have failed to deliver on military aid promises, but Stoltenberg assured that support will improve, especially after the U.S. allocated 60 billion dollars in additional aid. NATO aims to make a multi-year financial commitment to Ukraine at its July summit in Washington. While Ukraine's NATO membership is not yet certain, the alliance is working to make Ukraine's military operationally compatible with NATO forces.
