Over the past 80+ years, there have been literally hundreds of aircraft crashes, accidents and aviation related incidents in the south of 'Bomber County' especially around The Wash with the resultant tragic loss of life. Inevitably, with the passage of time, many of these occurrences have just been forgotten. It is hoped that facets of this presentation will be a reminder of forgotten names, places and incidents?
This video is a short tour of the principal towns of South Lincolnshire or more specifically, the area in and around the district known as South Holland (Spalding). It features aviation and military links together with historical sites that most people would overlook in their daily lives. This is not a definitive listing and hopefully others may feel inspired to bring to light some local historical facts that are not widely known into the public domain..
