On the 24th of March, 2015, Germanwings Flight 9525 set off from Barcelona Airport towards its destination in Germany. With more than 6000 hours of flight time logged, passengers were in safe hands with the Pilot Captain Patrick Sondenhemier in charge, however his co-pilot Andreas Lubitz had other intentions that day and would go onto cause one of the most horrific disasters in Aviation history. What Lubitz did that day would change thousands of lives forever, spark debate surrounding mental health and change aviation safety laws from that day forward.
