During the civil war, Peter was one day asked by an officer to give himself in. He was on the phone, chasing a supervillain, so he webbed the officer's gun and continued his call. The officer retrieved a weapon from his trunk and demanded Peter surrender. Frustrated, Peter snapped, saying all he ever did was try to save people and do the right thing, yet they want him rot in prison. Maybe if he had given up doing the right thin years ago, his aunt wouldn’t have taken a bullet, his wife wouldn’t live in fear, and everyone he loved wouldn't suffer because he kept helping. The officer, unfazed, insisted on the arrest. Peter, seeing no point, swung away.
