First opening to the public in 1894, the Blackpool Tower was the tallest man-made structure in the British Empire and was inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Standing at 158 metres tall the Tower dominates the skyline and can be seen for miles around.

Join me as for the first time I visit the Tower in the afternoon, ascending in the lift to the observation deck to the clearest views I have ever seen from the top (sadly just a few days prior to the arrival of my new 4K camcorder...).
