Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad, Tehran, Kerman... Every city in Iran has its own accent, and guess what? I wasn't ready at all!
I learned Persian without an accent (a big mistake), and now I'm trying to understand sentences that are said in one breath or words that I have never heard before.
Dubbed movies? Comfortable. People with real accents? Help!
So, to all Iranian friends:
👉 Speak more slowly.
👉 Use clear words.
👉 Maybe you're exaggerating your mouth a bit? 😜
I'm kidding, but well... Not really. Persian is a wonderful language, but these accents are really high-level. Does anyone else feel this way?
