Bone grafting, generally we will advise in case of restoring the loss of tooth with implants or in order to eradicate the edentulism with dentures, whereas in case of lot of residual resorptions when there is no bone to support the supporting structures, we have to restore with the bone grafts, either the autografts or allografts .After doing the bone grafts, the side effects of the bone grafts is very vey less depending on the patient habits like alcoholism, tobacco chewing and condition of the bone, age of the patient and sex of the patients, if there is any hormonal changes or of there is any deficiency conditions, if there is any kind of systemic disease like diabetes mellitus, if it is more prone to her residual resorptions, the patient might complain of a very slight pain, swelling and irritation. If there is a chronic inflammation, the patient may complain of a swelling of the bone grafted area. But bone grafted area is the one which is going to restore the loss of the bone structure in order to support a tooth structure as well as an implant. So bone grafting, it can be autografts or allografts. It doesn’t have any side effects unless the patient doesn’t maintain a very proper oral hygiene and unless the patient dentist maintain a very very proper oral hygiene and unless he cannot follow the proper instruction by the dentist. The lifespan of the bone graft, again depending on the patient, sex of the patient, bone condition of the patient, any degenerative diseases, any systemic diseases and also the application of the forces is occlusal to that area where the bone graft to the missing tooth area, it matters a lot. so if the patient is following the oral hygiene status is very well, if the patient is following the instructions given by the dentist, the lifespan of the graft is very very good and also the patients will be much more satisfied and also the condition of the bone is much more satisfactory and the patient is much more happy.
