The Ridgeway Top 50 is launched by Mary-Ann Ochota on New Year's Day 2023 to start a year-long treasure hunt revealing new and special things about The Ridgeway National Trail....#Ridgeway50.
Mary-Ann, often recognised as a former presenter on the popular TV programme Time Team, is the 50th anniversary patron for The Ridgeway. The Ridgeway Top 50 is one of many ways we are celebrating 50 years since The Ridgeway was opened as a National Trail in 1973. The Top 50 offers something for everyone to enjoy and it’s free and easy too.
Every Sunday at 7pm from Sunday 1st January 2023 until Sunday 31st December 2023, a story will be posted on The Ridgeway National Trail's website and socials (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). Discover the Trail’s oldest monument, rarest flower, famous writers, mysterious druids and more. Each post on social media is linked to details on the website including places to visit where you can experience the Top 50 first-hand.
