- Maritime Centre Vellamo in Kotka (several exhibitions about life at sea)
- Stockfors Works (old ironworks, with really cool art exhibitions)
- Strömfors Ironworks (a home base for craftspeople, creative industries and tourism entrepreneurs - including B&B Strömfors Bed & Bistro)
- Tykkimäki resort (stay in a cabin or cottage at the lake)
You can reach Kouvola by train from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
