On the 15th of March, after nearly 6 months of angling inactivity, I visited my local river, the White Cart Water in the south of Glasgow for my first fly fishing trip of the season. In my experience, it's unusual to come across rising trout so early in the season and I spent the morning #Euronymphing all of the likely-looking spots without success. Then, just after lunchtime, I came across a rising trout. Then another. Then another. I finished the day of dry fly fishing with 5 trout to the net, including a new personal best from a Scottish river!!! All of the fish took a size 14 Jingler variant.
Filmed on an iPhone 11 Pro (Filmic) and GoPro Hero 6.
