This is an extreme powerleveling guide that will get you to level 99 as fast and early as absolutely possible. I'll walk you through the entire process from starting a new game all the way to level 99 and beyond. With only 1/3 of the way through the story, you can get equipment that you normally wouldn't see until nearly the end of the game: the zodiac spear, maximillian, crown of laurels, grand armor, defender, golden skullcap, and several others in addition. For convenience I split the process by the routine as is used with my GameFAQs guide and, if that routine is long-lasting, segmented into several parts. I will only briefly explain the details of each segment in this video description (after this paragraph). See the GameFAQs guide and/or these videos for the in-depth details. See the annotations at the bottom of the video for any extra comments, updates, and corrections.

This segment covers getting to the Necrohol of Nabudis and obtaining the zodiac spear and maximillian. If you avoided the 3 chests during the earlier parts, you will find the zodiac spear in the middle of the third zone to the north when the path splits - look for a path going off the left. The zodiac spear has an attack power of 150, the highest of any weapon in the entire game. Once you get it, license it and equip it on your berserker and now you'll do 9999 damage on a very regular basis. When just berserk taking effect and no equipment that raises strength, you could very well be doing about 10,600 damage to these enemies, 12,900 on the game-starting ones. Yep, you'll learn to absolutely hate that damage limit. Maximally boosted (berserk, adrenaline, bravery, sleeping target, 0 defense on target, 99 strength, and the upper end of the randomness of damage), you could very well do 76,576 damage - all but 66,577 of that gets wasted due to a pointless limit.
That aside, the maximillian is perhaps the game's best armor. It offers 58 for defense, 1 on magick resist (odd), 9 on strength and 6 on speed. The grand armor offers 3 more strength and defense, but you lose out on the other 2 benefits. The maximillian, however, is a tricky one to get as there are 4 problems that need to be dealt with. Two of which you should be familiar with. The first is that the maximillian is a 1% drop from elvoret. That's fixed through chaining. The second is that, to more easily chain elvoret, you have to clear out a path of respawns. Enough time and passes will solve that. The third problem is that there is a trap in such a horrible spot that it's pretty much unavoidable - you have to trigger it. For best results, I usually start cura charging up, trigger the trap, and let cura do its thing. Of course, it may not be a damaging trap. It could also take your MP away. Out of MP? Just charge. An alternative solution is to only focus on the 2 where you can easily avoid the trap but that will slow things down. The fourth problem, exclusive to this area, is the oversouls and helvenik that appear here only after enough enemies are defeated. This, however, is easily avoided by getting rid of enemies along your way here, including the obvious respawns you need to get anyway. As usual, ignore the loot until chain level 4 then get it.
