This is my setup for the Turnigy 9X and a 1 watt WiFi booster from ebay. This booster is the 5 volt version and you can also get a 12 volt version, just make sure you get a booster at 2.4Ghz as your radio is 2.4Ghz. I also have the Frsky DJT module in the back of the radio and this booster comes with cable and the correct sma connectors. Very easy to fit as all you have to do is cut off the plug from the power supply that came with the booster and solder it to the output of your 5 volt BEC that runs off a 1000Mah 11.1 or similar lipo. The positive wire from the plug is the one running through the centre of the cable and negative is wrapped around it like coax cable (simple). So far this setup has performed well and only uses about 500Mah for the days flying. You can see from the pics how I mounted everything (Velcro) and pressure plate on booster to hold it to the handle of the 9X. For a link to the product on ebay (5 volt version) please message me and I'll include the link in my reply. Please note that I have seen this same booster on other 2.4 radios including the DX7 and users have had no complaints. Ebay seller says that it increases range up to 20 k's, but lets halve that and say 10, what a bargain at around 40 bucks and ten mins work.
