Jerry Lee Lewis with "Breathless" recorded from the original English 78 rpm shellac single on London HL-S.8592. "Breathless", with B-side "Down The Line", was released in the UK in April 1958 and peaked at Nr. 8 on the NME charts. Both sides were recorded in January 1958 at Memphis Recording Service (Sun Studio) in Memphis, Tennessee with Jerry Lee Lewis on vocal and piano, probably Billy Riley on electric guitar, possibly J.W. Brown or Stan Kesler on bass and J.M. Van Eaton on drums. The session was produced by Sam Phillips and/or Jack Clement. Words and music by Otis Blackwell.
