The King County Prosecutor's Office charged a University of Washington football player with two counts of felony rape after he was arrested in Seattle's University District on Friday.
According to court documents, 18-year-old Tylin "Tybo" Rogers was charged with second-degree rape and third-degree rape and was held on a $300,000 bail. His bail was set for $150,000 for each rape case, according to court documents. He has since posted bail.
Seattle police said the 18-year-old was arrested around 9 a.m. on April 5 on the 3900 block of Montlake Boulevard. Court documents say the incidents involving Rogers occurred between October and November of 2023.
A spokesperson for UW athletics said in a statement to KOMO News that the school was "aware of the arrest of a football student-athlete by the Seattle Police Department."
