Myanmar's ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been sentenced to a further seven years in prison for corruption. Since the junta took control nearly two years ago, freedoms and rights in Myanmar have deteriorated. State executions have returned, thousands of people have been arrested for protesting against military rule, and violent attacks by the army on civilians have surged.
