Last spring, I planted a Hopi sunflower seed and watched it grow into a beautiful plant that produced seeds.
From these seeds, I created a natural dye stock, which I used to dye yarn for a pair of self-striping socks.
The blueish-grey stripes in the yarn came entirely from this natural dye process.
