Today, I have the RODE NT-USB in the Audio Hotline Studio! I am sure you could guess based on the title of the mic... but just to clarify this is in fact a USB microphone. No audio interface required to use this, just the mic, a computer (or iPad), and your voice! This microphone is meant for a lot of different things, such as: podcasting, voice over, gaming, audio books, or music production. RØDE describes this as a high quality studio condenser microphone. As per usual, I implore you to check out the episode, see if it has the specs you require, listen to the tests and make an educated buying decision on whether this mic is right for you! One thing I will say... it's better than the Blue Yeti FOR SURE! Unless you of course need multiple polar patterns, but most people don't.
IF ANYONE IS PLANNING ON USING THIS WITH AN IPAD, LEAVE A COMMENT AND I WILL CREAT AN UNLISTED VIDEO WHERE YOU CAN CHECK OUT THE RESULTS!
Another note: I did show the set up for Mac in this review, if you have a windows computer and are struggling to set it up, feel free to email me at audiohotline@gmail.com
Thanks for watching the Audio Hotline! I'll see you Audio Nerds next time!
