To do this death-digivolution get a Metalgreymon and make him lose a battle. By doing this there is a chance that he will digivolve into Skullgreymon.

The best way to do this is to let your digimon sleep and save at a spot where you are near a fight that you are sure to lose. That way you can reset and retry the fight over and over again until the digivolution kicks in. To change the RNG number change screens, walk around, praise or scold your digimon.
