The Kata of Seiunchin, thought to mean 'pulling' is an ancient Kaishu kata brought to the Goju ryu style by the founding master Chojun Miyagi. Made famous by the film, Karate Kid in which Daniel son and Mr Miyagi practice the kata and alos famous for not using any kicks, although in some styles such as Go Kan Ryu, a back kick is initiated midway through the form.
