After visiting the Konark Sun Temple, we headed to the Temple and gain had auspicious darshan of Lord Jagannath. The next day then we returned to the Bhubaneshwar as it was left exploring due to the Covid-19 shutdowns.
On the way we had this Raghurajpur Heritage Village that is well known for their paintings and craft work. The village is full of painters, rock sculpture makers and crafts men who display lots of beautiful stuff one wants to take home as a memory of Puri.
The paintings dipict different form of Krishna, Lord Rama and Lord Jagganath. The paintings are also available as of Warli art which is a tribal art.
To our amusement we saw some painting that depict full Ramayana and even full Mahabharata. We saw different Shringars of Lord Jagannath which was an amazing piece of art.
Just beware of some people who forces you to take their stuff our anything else. Just go by your will. You have lots of Painters and craftsmen with whom you can bargain and choose from the best available paintings.
