On August 5, after the culmination of years of work, the Council on Field Education (COFE) launched a national repository of sample field instructor training materials intended to assist field directors in offering excellent training to their field instructors. In this recording, the COFE members who developed the resource describe how it was developed and preview materials in key folders.
The repository is organized into 10 folders including orientation to the role; justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in supervision; developing the learning agreement; navigating challenges; trauma-informed field instruction; and principles of competency-based evaluation. Each folder contains sample agenda, PowerPoint slides, handouts, key readings, and supplemental materials.
