Grammatophyllum speciosum, also called giant orchid, tiger orchid, sugar cane orchid or queen of the orchids, is the world's largest orchid. This orchid native to Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and some regions in South-east Asia. In their original habitat, this giant orchid grown as an epiphytic and occasionally a lithophytic plant. But these days, many growers planted them on the ground or in containers with fertilized soil as media. We can see in this video, people grow this huge specimen in containers with soils mixed up with some rice husk ash and animal manure.
