Mission 44, Natural Calamity is an ABSOLUTE PIECE OF CAKE on EDF 4.1 as it can be cheesed in an unbelievably easy way.
On this run, it was done using level 20ish weapons. Normal will drop weapons up to level 25 on the last mission. Hard will drop weapons up to level 25 on the first mission, and by mission 20 you can get weapons up to level 30.
This is part of a group of videos to better explain Inferno weapons farming on the 3 PS4 games, with emphasis on using low armor and class weapons.
The weapons I used were the pretty basic level 28 AF19-ST and the 26 Stingray M3.
Mission flow is extremely simple. Just roll left and a back to a building that has a flowerbed on the corner, climb to the flowerbed and aim the weapon just above the EDF soldiers, and shoot AF19-ST. There's an orbs wave, then a flying vehicles wave, and then a final flying vehicles wave.
You can't recruit ANY NPC Wing Divers or Fencers. If you do you'll probably die as they will be all over you and you just shoot yourself or get thrown out of your safe spot.
Between waves, there's enough time to pick crates but don't take any chances. Flying vehicles can zap you 500 armor in a snap so don't risk. Go pick the crates when there are just 2 or 3 left. You can recruit the remaining NPC's at the end of the third wave, this way they'll annoy and destroy the last flying vehicles while you pick what you need. One of the advantages is that almost all crates will be spread in a very small area. Check roofs, a few there probably. You can expect to get between 3 and 8 weapon crates usually. Use the rocket launcher at this time to down structures to be able to pick up crates.
You can get here weapons up to level 74, which is quite good and within range of some awesome ones.
