In this video, Steve Caseley covers a brief overview of the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification. He’ll begin by discussing the experience you should have to pass the exam, then talk about what you’ll be tested on and how to prepare for it.
CAPM is an entry-level certification for relatively new project managers. This cert validates that you have a basic PM skillset and is recognized as a valuable addition to your resume if you have between one and three years of project management experience.
It’s based on the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and is issued by the world’s most recognized authority in the project management workspace.
You’ll need to be a high school graduate with at least 1,500 hours of project experience OR 23 hours of formal PM education.
Steve will discuss the structure of the exam, the domains it tests and how they break down, and the time limits you’ll need to abide by in order to pass.
