Adam Hills tells the story of the moment cancer changed everything for him. “I was with my dad when he passed away. When it happened, it was a relief. It was beautiful. And it was awful.”
Adam can't remember the first time he was told his father had cancer but he remembers not being too worried and convinced he would get through it...and he did. The second time he got cancer, it was his mother who called to let him know he had been diagnosed with leukaemia.
Adam remained positive and hoped, until the moment the doctor said there was nothing else they could do. A few days before his father died, he remembers vividly his father telling him, 'Good luck in London', just days before he stared 'The Last Leg'.
