Traveled from the Phoenix, AZ area up to Winnemuca, NV to view the Oct 14, 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse. Winnemucca was predicted to have one the clearest skies for this event. Oops! Very cloudy. Pictures shot through heavy clouds with no solar filter. These 11 pix of annularity were the best. Shot with Nikon D3500 & 400mm Vivatar Series one manual lens. Two hours after annularity, skies cleared to perfectly clear. Go figure... LOL :-)
