I'll be using these with a prusik knot to position my ridge line organizer on my hammock ridge line. You can also use them in a continuous ridge line set up for your tarp or to hang things off your pack.

The soft shackle allows you to open the prusik loop once its attached to your ridge line and then attach it to your tarp D rings. Then you close the shackle and can slide the prusik knot (and your tarp) along the ridge line to position it.
