Andrew McGinley provides an explanation of Pennsylvania's legislative process, and explains ways this process runs into difficulty. (02:03) McGinley serves as the Committee of Seventy’s Vice President of External Affairs, with a focus on developing policy positions and advocacy strategies for voting rights, election integrity and good government reforms in Philadelphia and across Pennsylvania. He was General Counsel to the Pennsylvania House Appropriations and Government Oversight Committees from 2020 to 2023 and served as lead negotiator for PA House Democrats during the 2021-2022 legislative redistricting process.
Jodi Reese provides data and examples of legislative dysfunction and previews some of the latest FIx Harrisburg report on PA's legislative process. (31:28) Reese is a member of the FDPA Speakers Bureau and conducts in-depth research on legislative process and data. She assists the Advocacy Advisor team and since 2017 has been a member of the leadership team for FDPA Dauphin County. Prior to FDPA, Jodi was an environmental engineer.
