How to avoid the Cancelled Credit Card Scam / Stranded Traveler Scam?

The topic of this video and its subsequent advice are based on information provided by our network of security experts. They are aimed at preventing crime and fraud.

This episode was inspired by the admirable actions of Genevieve F. and Jarran M., two Australian backpackers travelling in Europe, who in December 2014 helped prosecute and bring to justice an expert scammer who had robbed several thousands of euros from dozens of young travelers, using a sophisticated version of this scam and a few other masterminded tricks.

This scam happened also to the funder of Safety Scouts, Chris, when he was a young student!
