The session this morning began with a statement by the Speaker Melvyn Farrell, who said it was out of order and totally unacceptable for GSD MP Daniel Feetham to challenge the Speaker’s authority and to suggest he had not acted impartially.
Mr Farrel was referring to an incident last week when Mr Feetham accused the government of “lying” and was unwilling to withdraw the word when asked to. Mr Picardo described it as “Parliamentary thuggery”.
