A senior leader shared on a company meeting today “happy pipeline, happy life”. In this video I will share my learnings from making 41,000 cold calls and how you can set more meetings. My preferred pipe gen method is live cold calls. As a sales development rep (SDR) I made 37,000 live cold calls. Here are my updated cold calling principles that I live and die by on the phone.
What you say isn’t as important as “how you say it” 2. If the call feels rushed, you are rushing it. Control the pace at all times 3. Always work in the phrase “the reason I’m calling you is…” 4. Make sure to briefly convey why setting up another call would make sense for them 5. make the ask for their time*** 6. Never take NO for an answer (how to overcome objections while cold calling is tough but I believe in you.) 7. sound like you care about being on the call. People don’t like receiving or even making cold calls, be the exception who is actually cheerful and trying to make their day better
