Original game music tune "Saboteur II (feat. Rob Hubbard)" sampled to Amiga from Amstrad CPC (/Spectrum) version
00:00 - Orientation
00:08 - Game options
00:19 - Mission 2 demo
Beta-11 (Tech Demo 17)
- Finishing buildings, underground rooms and caverns painting and shading; there are still some glitches to be fixed
- Improving Saboteur, enemies and projectiles appearance (rendering) by applying masking / outlining; shading made masking a bit tricky but the devised masking algorithm plays nice for most cases (but not all -yet!)
- Changing the style of Saboteur and enemies Health Bars to give a pseudo-3D perspective; nothing fancy just a bit of modernization.. (yeah right)
- Addition of some props here and there; more to come (?)
- Slight colorization of the game options screen; again Copper comes to rescue, the result is pretty fair
- Major low level optimization of the rendering code in order to keep the game playable under Amiga 500 (MC68000) while applying full masking; the best game experience is still under Amiga 1200 though; but an A500 with 1MB of RAM will play it okay
Next step? Iron some glitches and bugs here and there etc...
