This two-minute drone footage captures two Myrtle Beach homes successfully protected during the severe flooding from Hurricane Florence and the rising Waccamaw River. Surrounded by temporary metal flood barriers from Geodesign Barriers—based in Geneva, Illinois, with product origins in Sweden—these homes remained dry even as water rose 3 feet against the barriers. Deployed around each property starting September 24, the barriers, with pumps managing minor seepage, held firm against nature’s forces.
