It’s been over a decade now that A$AP Mob bubbled up on the New York scene and began to impact East Coast hip-hop. From videos to fashion to the sound of rap itself, the Harlem crew has shown everyone in the game the kind of strides you can make when you act as a true collective. Dropping key albums individually and together, ROCKY, Ferg, Twelvyy, Nast, Ant and their partners have planted a flag for hard work and innovative ideas. They’re particularly busy right now. In August, they’re dropping ‘Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy’ and A$AP Ferg and A$AP Twelvyy also have new discs out. To celebrate this blast of creativity we invited both MCs into our New York studio to kick a few of the tracks live. Ferg busted “Nasty (Who Dat)” and “Plain Jane” from his ‘Still Striving” album. Twelvyy did “Strapped” and “Periodic Table” from ’12.’ They also performed together, wrecking the place spittin’ their way through “Hop Out.”
Be sure to catch all the performances.
