In this video we go through the polishing process on this guitar. We begin with the sanding to get the finish nice and flat. Then we move up to higher grits to get it a smooth as possible. This makes the polishing process much easier. Finally, we apply the polish carefully and burn it into the sanded finish to get that beautiful mirror shine.
This guitar kit was very inexpensive, and unfortunately it has some significant problems. The flamed maple veneer on the top is paper thin and has been sanded through in a couple spots. The cavity plates don't fit correctly, and there are several other issues as well.
We will try to cover how to fix as many of these problems as possible over the course of this series, and hopefully end up with a decent finished product.
