The Seattle Police Department fired Officer Kevin Dave for killing Indian student Jahnavi Kandula in January 2023. Dave, driving at 120 km/h, hit Kandula while responding to a call. The incident sparked protests, especially after disturbing body cam footage of fellow officer Daniel Auderer was released.
