Sue shares her story of how Pulmonary Rehabilitation has improved her quality of life after being diagnosed with COPD.
The AHSN NENC in collaboration with British Lung Foundation and Newcastle Healthy Lungs has created the video “Changing Lives – Breathing Better” and accompanying case studies to promote the value of Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR).
Around 1-in-5 people in the UK will develop some form of lung disease during their lifetime accounting for over 700,000 hospital admissions each year.
PR is an essential and cost effective component in the management of patients with a chronic respiratory disease, demonstrating improvement in both exercise capacity and health and well being.
The Academic Health Science Network for the North East and North Cumbria (AHSN NENC) is proud to support innovation in all its forms within the NHS and Social Care. SUBSCRIBE NOW: [ Ссылка ]
