Diamond 101: In this Diamond Buying Guide, we will teach you how to choose diamond by showing you the effects of Triple Excellent GIA diamond vs Super ideal cut diamond vs Fisheye diamond.
In this video, we're going to talk about a particular nasty effect that you will never want on a diamond ring which is the Diamond Fisheye effect.
What is Diamond Fish Eye effect?
The diamond fish eye effect is a nasty appearance on your diamond that you want to avoid at all cost. This occurs when the diamond is cut too wide and out of the Ideal proportion range.
We will show you what the diamond fish eye effect is in real life, under various lighting environment and how you should avoid it.
As a rule of thumb, we recommend a maximum table size of 58% when choosing your diamond. Anything over 58% will be on the wider side and your diamond will have a
higher risk of getting the diamond fisheye effect.
