he month of September started on a rainy note for several parts of the country. The last 24 hours have been the rainiest for parts of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. In fact, heavy rains have also been recorded in parts of Maharashtra.
Three digit rains have been seen in many parts, all due to the Low Pressure Area which has been persisting over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and is expected to remain stagnant over that area for some time.
In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Wednesday, Hoshangabad in Madhya Pradesh has been the rainiest place in India with 162 mm of rainfall.
