BOPIS, translated as 'Pulutok' in Pampango dialect, is a traditional Filipino recipe which consists mainly of minced pig's lungs.In the old days, the dish is simply prepared with only 6 main ingredients,namely onions, garlic, black pepper, salt &vinegar which were then added to the boiled minced lungs.Through the years, the recipe has been prepared differently, additional ingredients has been added, carrots, bellpeppers, radishes.....and the list goes
on! In today's episode, I will still be doing the old recipe that I have learned
from my roots, but this time I'm using Cow's lungs . So, enjoy cooking GUYS!
The RECIPE/ Ingredients
- 1 -1 1/2 kg. pig or Cow's lungs
- 1tbsp salt+2 bayleaves +1tsp. peppercorns (for boiling)
- enough cooking oil
- 1 med. onion
- 4 -6 cloves garlic
2 pcs bayleaves
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 6 -10 tbsp. vinegar
- salt to taste
- 1 cup TENDER LOVING CARE
