The Arctic Circle runs through the middle of Norway a few kilometers north of Mo i Rana in Helgeland which is the closest town to the Arctic Circle, hence the nickname "the arctic circle town". There are two places in Helgeland where you can easily cross the Arctic Circle your self, by the mainroad, and by the costal road north from Mo i Rana.
