For optimal visibility when gaming, working, or just browsing the web, be sure to clean your monitor regularly to get rid of any dust and smudges. When gathering cleaning materials, it’s best to avoid using window cleaners, soaps, wax, or solutions with alcohol, solvents, or ammonia. These can damage the display. You should also avoid abrasive pads and paper towels as they can scratch the monitor. Instead, use a soft microfiber cleaning cloth and distilled or still water. Before setup, power down both the monitor and the computer, disconnect the power cables, and ensure the monitor has cooled. Now, gently wipe the monitor’s screen with a clean microfiber cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. You can also use compressed air to blow away dust. For the tougher stains like food, mix 50% distilled water with 50% white vinegar. Wet your cloth with the mixture, wring out any excess liquid, and then gently wipe the monitor. Give some time for the monitor to air dry so there’s no remaining moisture. Once dry, reconnect the power cables, turn on your monitor, and enjoy your games on a crisp, clean screen!
