Battle Games in Middle Earth was the magazine that started the huge momentum of the Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game for Games Workshop. This sytem would go on to not only be arguably there most well designed wargame ever but also critical in the growth and success of Games Workshop, bringing in a huge amount of new players and capital in the critical years in the lead up to the Global Financial Crisis. Warhammer would not be the same without Battle Games in Middle Earth.
