A time-lapse in 2024 after we planted over 10,000 crocuses in the backyard in October 2021.
All bulbs were planted 8-12 cm deep, around 15-20 cm apart and it took around 16 hours to plant. We avoid walking on the lawn from when the ground thaws in the spring until they are done flowering and then wait until the end of May to cut the grass. For every one bulb planted in 2021, there are now around 4-8 flowers. These crocuses make a great crocus lawn!
Cultivar:
Crocus tommasinianus ‘Ruby Giant’
Bulbs planted: October 5-9, 2021
