Scientists discover mysterious lake buried under 3,500 feet of ice in Antarctica. We take a look at this newly discovered subglacial lake.

On December 26th scientists announced that they had manage to reach a Subglacial Lake which was under Antarctica. Incredible this lake was over 3,000 feet below the surface of the ice. The Subglacial Antarctic Lakes Scientific Access said the following about the event "It's taken almost two whole days of drilling to reach the Subglacial Lake during this holiday season. We had a huge team with us and it wouldn't have been possible without them.
