Over the Shoulder Shot, OTS Shot Explanation
When two characters are facing each other, and the camera is set behind one's shoulder so that the other character appears in the frame, the shot is called over the shoulder shot (OTS). This shot is usually taken when there is a conversation between two characters, in which the shoulder is mostly out of focus in the foreground and the focus is on the character/subject in the background.
