Ed and Lorraine Warren were well-known for exploring the supernatural, and their adventures inspired many popular movies, including "The Conjuring."
In 1952, they founded a group called the New England Society for Psychic Research. They also opened a museum in the basement of their research center filled with strange and creepy items. Throughout their careers, they claimed to have investigated over 10,000 cases, often teaming up with doctors, nurses, researchers, and police.
The Warrens believed they had a special gift for understanding unusual occurrences. Lorraine, since she was about seven or eight years old, said she could see auras—special energies—around people, but she kept this ability a secret out of fear that her parents might think she was crazy.
Ed was born on September 7, 1926, and Lorraine on January 31, 1927. Together, they became famous American paranormal investigators and authors, known for working on many well-known haunting cases. Ed was a self-taught expert on demons, while Lorraine claimed to have clairvoyant abilities and worked closely with Ed.
