Galette des rois, or almond cake. #short #shorts
This is traditionally served on January 6th, the Epiphany. It's an easy almond cake the full tutorial video is linked in related vidoes.
100g (3/4 cup) almond flour
100g (7 tablespoons) butter
100g (1/2 cup) powdered sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon Amaretto
Mix together and pipe onto a puff pastry sheet, top with another sheet. Shape with the tart pan. Seal the edges by knocking up the sides, make air holes in the top, brush with an egg wash and chill. Bake 375°F/190°C for 35-40minutes.
