I tried to make an "unlimited FPS" mod for NSMBW a couple years ago. Didn't work, but I thought this attempt was funny.

Although this frame dump from Dolphin makes it look like the game's running very fast, it actually runs only slightly faster than normal speed in real time on my PC.

Here it is as a Riivolution patch snippet, for US versions (both v1 and v2) (replace square brackets with angle brackets):
