Former Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula election petition woes are far from over. A Bungoma High Court has written to the Director of Public Prosecutions recommending the prosecution of the New Ford Kenya leader for allegedly bribing voters in the March General Election. The recommendation by Justice Francis Gikonyo that Citizen TV has seen is likely to complicate his bid to recapture his seat following the nullification of his election. Furthermore, if the voter bribery charges are proved, Wetangula who is also the CORD Co-Principal could end up in jail and be barred from contesting future elections for up to five years. However, the DPP Keriako Tobiko says he is yet to see the recommendation. Wetangula moved to the Court of Appeal last week to challenge the ruling. And as Alex Chamwada reports, his chances of contesting again depends on whether his appeal sails through or not.
